Pero es importante recordar que Android Pie no lo es todo; y que para un buen porcentaje de usuarios de Android, la versión más importante aún no ha salido.
Hablo de Android 9 Pie Go Edition, la nueva versión de Android Go, el sistema diseñado para dispositivos de gama baja o con poco almacenamiento. Esta versión se ha convertido en un imprescindible, especialmente en dispositivos de bajo coste y para usuarios que quieren lo justo y necesario.
El primer móvil con Android Pie Go Edition
Ya apuntamos no hace mucho que Android Pie GO Edition llegaría este año. Entre las novedades, un ahorro de nada menos que 500 MB en el almacenamiento usado. Gracias a esto, nos quedará mucho más espacio en el dispositivo, notaremos una mayor rapidez a la hora de encender el móvil, y también deberíamos notar una cierta mejora en el rendimiento.
Claro, que la gran pregunta era ¿Qué móviles iban a usar Android Pie Go Edition? Hasta que no se produzca el lanzamiento del sistema, no podemos esperar que aparezcan muchos modelos; pero Blu ha querido adelantarse a todo el mundo, preparando el primer móvil con Android Pie Go Edition.
El Blu Vivo Go usa, como su nombre indica, Android Go, en un intento deacotar los costes; lo llamativo es que vendrá de serie con Android Pie, por lo que es el primer dispositivo que ha dado el salto.
Y la verdad es que lo necesitará. Estamos ante un modelo de gama baja, con un MediaTek 6739 como procesador y sólo 1 GB de memoria RAM; pero por los 90 dólares que costará en EEUU, puede merecer la pena. Sobre todo para el que quiera un móvil grande, ya que tiene una pantalla de seis pulgadas (aunque la resolución de sólo 720 x 1440 píxeles probablemente no asegure una buena experiencia”).
Pero eso no es lo importante, por supuesto. Este es justo el tipo de dispositivo para el que nació Android Go, por ejemplo para aprovechar los 16 GB de almacenamiento; y con las novedades de Android Pie, puede que usar este móvil no sea el infierno al que estamos acostumbrados en las gamas más bajas.
