El Huawei P30 no tendrá versión 5G, confirma CEO de Huawei 100
Los Huawei P30 y P30 Pro fueron lazados oficialmente hace poco en Paris durante un evento del fabricante. Se mostraron distintas configuraciones para ambos modelos, pero algo llamó la atención. Esto fue que no se hizo mención a alguna variante que contara con conectividad 5G. Recordemos que Huawei ofrecerá una versión de Mate 20 X con la mencionada contabilidad. Por lo anterior que uno esperaría que nuevos buques insignia también la ofrecieran. Sin embargo parece que esto no será así, por lo menos en esta serie de terminales P30.
Sin versiones 5G para los Huawei P30 y P30 Pro
La información fue revelada por Richard Yu, El jefe del negocio de dispositivos móviles de Huawei, durante una entrevista en el medio CNET. Richard Yu menciona textualmente “El mundo aún no está preparado para el buque insignia 5G de Huawei“. Lo anterior resulta curioso cuando, como dijimos anteriormente, ya ofrecerán una versión del Mate 20X con la mencionada conectividad, aunque quizá el ejecutivo se refería a otra cosa con sus palabras. Por ejemplo, el Mate 20X no es un dispositivo pensado desde un inicio para el 5G,esa versión llegó después.
Las palabras de Richard Yu se estarían refiriendo a un buque insignia diseñado desde el inicio pensando en las redes 5G. Lo anterior implicaría un salto mayor en ciertos aspectos como la autonomía (la navegación 5G consume más batería). Sin embargo ha revelado que están considerando ofrecer una versión 5G de la próxima línea Mate de Huawei. Esta saldría durante el otoño de este año.
Clement Wong, VP de marketing global de productos de Huawei, reveló que podrían haber hecho versiones 5G de los P30 y P30 Pro, pero consideraron que el “timing” no era el adecuado. También añade que piensa que el 5G comenzará a ser realmente importante a partir del 2020.
