Ya han pasado prácticamente tres semanas desde que Estados Unidos anunció la entrada de Huawei en la lista negra que prohibía a cualquier empresa del país a colaborar con ellos de forma comercial. Esta decisión del gobierno de EEUU no solo afecta a la compañía china, sino que a cualquier marca que ya colaborara con ellos, como Google, Intel o Qualcomm. Sabemos que Google, por ejemplo, está trabajando para ayudar a Huawei, pues es una de las marcas que más teléfonos Android comercializan en el mundo y esta podría ser su técnica definitiva.
Desde el planteamiento de que Huawei no podría utilizar Android con los servicios de Google Play, el rumor sobre el sistema operativo propio de la marca, Ark Os precisamente esa es la baza que tiene Google ante el gobierno de los Estados Unidos para convencerles de poder seguir trabajando con Huawei con total normalidad como habían hecho hasta ahora. Todo esto parece ser una de las soluciones que se les habrá ocurrido durante la tregua de 90 días de la que dispone actualmente la marca.
Google alega que Ark OS podría ser más peligroso que Android
A Google no le interesa que Huawei cree su propio sistema operativo, aunque esté basado en AOSP, puesto que las pérdidas para la gran “G” no serían pocas precisamente. Es por eso que ha argumentado que Ark OS podría ser un peligro de seguridad, motivo por el cual se debería dejar a Huawei seguir utilizando Android con todos los servicios de Google. Los motivos que ha estado utilizando Google para argumentar esto, básicamente se centran en que al ser un nuevo sistema operativo y además independiente, estará lleno de bugs y problemas de seguridad que afectaría directamente al usuario, haciendo los teléfonos más hackeables, no solo por China (por aquella paranoia de que China espía a través de Huawei).
Por supuesto, no está demostrado que eso vaya a ser así y es que Huawei seguiría implementando parches de seguridad y probablemente una versión bastante estable del sistema operativo, probablemente con un diseño calcado a EMUI, como pudimos ver hace unos días. Además, creemos que es buen momento para aprovechar que según Huawei, su nuevo compilador Ark ofrecerá un gran incremento en la fluidez y el rendimiento del sistema, como también os estuvimos comentando.
No sabemos si esta estrategia de Google logrará convencer al gobierno de Estados Unidos, pero podría ser una de las principales bazas a las que se aferraría la empresa americana para no verse forzada a perder las relaciones comerciales con Huawei.
