En las imágenes filtradas en Weibo podemos apreciar, en primer lugar, que el Xiaomi Mi 9 vendría con un lector de huellas bajo la pantalla, de cumplirse las informaciones. Esta tecnología ya ha sido usada por la firma en la variante Pro del Xiaomi Mi 8, pero vendría mejorada en cuanto a precisión y tiempo de respuesta. En cuanto a la segunda imagen, apreciamos la parte trasera del dispositivo, con un claro aire al Huawei P20 Pro. Debajo de los dos sensores principales de cámara encontraríamos un tercer sensor, cuya función es aún desconocida. Así, el Xiaomi Mi 9 se convertiría en el primer flagship de la compañía en incorporar tres sensores de cámara.
