Pues bien, existe una app en la Play Store que es capaz de mostrar los iconos de las notificaciones en los laterales del notch, en la porción de pantalla que queda libre en esta zona superior.
La aplicación se llama Notch Notifications for MIUI, y como su propio nombre indica, nos permite disfrutar de notificaciones en todos los móviles con MIUI y notch en la pantalla. Entre los móviles que cita el desarrollador de la app se encuentran los Pocophone F1, Xioami Mi8 Lite, Xiaomi mi9, Xiaomi Mi Max 3, Xiaomi Mi8, XIoami Redmi Note 5 y el Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 pro. Como podéis ver en las imágenes, una vez instalada la app, veremos los iconos de las diferentes apps que nos están mostrando notificaciones en la barra superior.

Lo único que debemos hacer una vez que hemos instalado la app, es darle permisos a esta y colocar en el lugar correcto los parámetros X e Y. De estos parámetros depende que las notificaciones se adapten a la forma del notch de nuestro móvil Xiaomi, ya sea con el notch tradicional o en forma de gota de agua, como van siendo más comunes actualmente.
No hay requisitos para esta app más allá de contar con notch y MIUI.
