1. No puedes instalar la última versión del sistema operativo
Es importante por cuestiones de seguridad: las actualizaciones frecuentemente arreglan errores de versiones anteriores, los cuales, si no actualizas, dejan tu teléfono vulnerable.
No hay tanto problema cuando tienes un teléfono de última generación, que soporta las últimas actualizaciones. Claro, aquí también dependes de la voluntad tanto del desarrollador del sistema operativo como de las telefónicas para liberarlas.
Si ya no puedes instalar las versiones más recientes, como iOS 10 o Android 7.0, tal vez es momento de pensar en un nuevo equipo.
2. La batería se acaba a la mitad del día
A menos que sea un defecto de fábrica, una carga completa de la batería te debería durar un día de uso normal. Pero si ves que cada día que pasa te va durando menos o tu teléfono se muere de repente, es una señal para comprar otro.
Toma en cuenta que la batería pierde capacidad con cada recarga que hagas, de cero a 100%, además, si conectas mal tu equipo, la vida de la batería durará mucho menos, de acuerdo con The Insider.
3. Ya no tienes suficiente espacio de almacenamiento
Entre más sofisticados son los equipos, más capacidad de almacenamiento tienen. Lo mismo sucede con las aplicaciones y sistemas operativos: ocupan mayor espacio en la memoria del teléfono.
Básicamente, 16GB de memoria ya no son suficientes (se los digo por experiencia), y aunque hay equipos que pueden expandir la capacidad de almacenamiento vía microSD y hay servicios de nube, lo cierto es que varios desarrollos sólo viven en el espacio interno.
4. Tu teléfono es lento
Cuando tu teléfono no tiene suficiente memoria, siempre se va a hacer más lento. Si las aplicaciones se pasman o la pantalla táctil deja de funcionar correctamente, deberías considerar cambiar de modelo. Si te resiste, borra la memoria caché o elimina fotos viejas para liberarlo un poco.
5. La pantalla de tu teléfono está rota
Los accidentes pasan (mi papá tuvo que cambiar la pantalla de dos equipos distintos porque “se le cayeron”) y no es un secreto que arreglar el equipo puede ser un poco costoso. Sin embargo, dejarlo pasar puede provocar más daños, entonces, o lo arreglas o cambias de equipo.
6. Tu teléfono es sinónimo de frustración y estrés
Los teléfonos inteligentes están diseñados para una cosa: hacer nuestra vida más fácil (no por nada son “inteligentes”). Pero si de plano ya no jala y lo único que deseas es aventarlo, no te aferres, déjalo ir y consigue uno nuevo. Tu corazón te lo agradecerá. Eso sí, respalda tu información y recicla tu viejo celular correctamente.
7. Odias tu teléfono, pero no sabes cuándo comprar uno nuevo
Sencillo. Tómate tu tiempo para investigar y leer reseñas del teléfono que te interesa (en Paréntesis, claro). Como cada año salen nuevos modelos, las versiones anteriores bajan de precio, por lo que podrías conseguir uno de muy buena calidad a un costo razonable.
