Nokia sigue creciendo: ya vende más teléfonos que Sony 99
Estos últimos días, estamos viendo como diversas compañías publican sus márgenes de beneficio y crecimiento durante el segundo trimestre del año. Nokia. La firma Finlandesa fue la más grande del mundo en cuanto a telefonía móvil hace unos cuantos años, pero poco a poco, fue desapareciendo hasta disuadirse.
Al poco tiempo, HMD resurgió a Nokia como marca de teléfonos y lanzó sus primeros teléfonos con Android (de verdad, no como el Nokia X). Estos teléfonos han gustado y ya son casi tres años los que llevan haciendo esto. Ahora sabemos el número de teléfonos que está vendiendo Nokia y la verdad, sorprende, pues ya vende más teléfonos que Sony. Aunque esto último, no es muy complicado.
Nokia casi ha vendido 5 millones de teléfonos en el último trimestre
Bueno, lo acabamos de decir. Nokia ha vendido casi 5 millones de teléfonos en el segundo trimestre del año. Concretamente han sido 4,8 millones y aunque sea una cifra muy lejana de los 110 millones de Huawei (fueron en 6 meses), sigue siendo una cifra destacable para una marca que pasa bastante desapercibida. Actualmente, necesitamos un cambio de mentalidad: ¿hasta que punto podemos llamar como marca grande a una que no alcanza el millón de unidades vendidas? Si has leído el título del artículo, sabrás que estamos hablando de Sony.
Según los datos y a pesar del buen trabajo con el Xperia 11 Sony ha vendido en este segundo trimestre unos 900.000 teléfonos. Esto es aproximadamente unas 5 o 6 veces menos de lo que ha vendido Nokia, pero seguimos categorizando a Sony como una de las marcas grandes, tan solo por lo que fue hace unos años (en media década, sus ventas en la división móvil se han dividido entre 8). Sabemos que Sony antes era de lo mejor del mercado, pero lo mismo pasó con HTC y lo mismo está pasando con LG (que solo ha dado datos de ingresos, no ventas). Quizás es el momento de volver a analizar cuáles son las grandes marcas del momento y empezar a llamarlas como “tradicionales”.
Quizás Nokia todavía no tiene esa cuota de mercado para categorizarla como una de las grandes marcas, pero por ejemplo Xiaomi, sigue siendo vista como una empresa de teléfonos chinos (como una gran mayoría), pero que hoy en día y con su modelo de mercado, se puede permitir ser comparada con Samsung o Huawei, por ejemplo. Lo que está claro, es que las marcas chinas son las que más crecimiento están experimentando.
