Meizu ha revelado finalmente su nuevo buque insignia en China: El Meizu 16S. Es el sucesor del Meizu 16 que salió durante el año pasado. En términos de diseño son similares, refinando aún más lo mejorable. Los mayores cambios entre generaciones llegan a nivel de especificaciones. El Meizu 16s se presenta como “unico” en su especie en la gama alta, al no colocar algún notch o pantalla perforada para lograr su formato.

El diseño es uno de los aspectos principales apartados en el Meizu 16s. Se trata de un terminal que destaca sin necesidad de aplicar elementos llamativos a su cuerpo. Su acabado es simple y limpio, muy inspirado en el minimalismo. Su parte trasera está ligeramente curvada para favorecer el agarre del dispositivo. En su parte frontal llama más la atención aun, ya que utiliza un acabado todo-pantalla o full-pantalla sin necesidad de aplicar notchs, perforaciones o recortes en la misma. Sus dimensiones son de 151.9 x 73.4 x 7.6 mm, siendo más delgado que terminales como los Galaxy S10 y Xiaomi Mi 9, teniendo el Meizu 16 una batería de mayor tamaño.
Su panel es de 6.2 pulgadas con tecnología Super AMOLED con acabado de esquinas curveadas y un aprovechamiento del frontal de 91.53%. Su resolución es Full HD+ con 1080 x 2232 pixeles y es compatible con la tecnología de DC Dimming. Posee certificación VDE Blue-Light por lo que puede bloquear hasta un 33% de la luz azul dañina. En el panel encontraremos integrado un lector de huella dactilar. Meizu afirma que este es más rápido en un 100% a comparación del que encontramos en su antecesor, el Meizu 16. También ha sido mejorado su funcionamiento con las manos mojadas.
Como procesador encontraremos al Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 que cada vez se extiende más. Estará disponible en variantes con 6GB de RAM u 8GB de RAM y 128GB o 256GB de almacenamiento interno no expandible mediante MicroSD. La batería ofrece una respetable batería de 3.600mAh de capacidad, mejorando por mucho uno de los puntos más flacos de su antecesor Se cargará a través de un puerto USB-C compatible con carga rápida de 24W.
Para disfrutar mejor del multimedia tendremos altavoces estéreo. Un chip NFC permitirá que lo utilicemos para hacer pagos móviles.
Cámaras
El Meizu 16s viene equipado con una doble cámara trasera conformada por sensores de 48MP + 20MP. El sensor principal es un Sony IMX586 con una apertura de f/1.7 y estabilización óptica OIS de 4 ejes. La cámara frontal por su parte es un sensor de 20MP con apertura de f/2.2 tratándose de un sensor Samsung 3T2 lanzado este mismo año. Ofrece la función HDR+ y utiliza un algoritmo desarrollado por ArcSoft para obtener fotos detalladas y limpias. También es compatible con desbloqueo facial.
