Actualmente la gama alta Android baila entre los 6 y los 8 GB de memoria RAM. Android es un sistema operativo que demanda muchos recursos, y funciona de forma bastante holgada si le damos la memoria RAM suficiente. Por fin, rompemos la barrera de los 8 GB, y pasamos a la cifra de los 10 GB, gracias a un terminal venido desde China.
El Oppo Find X, terminal del que pronto publicaremos análisis, ha sido el encargado en estrenar los 10 GB de memoria RAM en Android. Un terminal espectacular por dentro y por fuera, que demuestra los nuevos estándares a los que se pueden llegar en la gama alta.
IceUniverse ha desvelado la cantidad de memoria RAM con la que contará una de las nuevas variantes del Oppo Find X. Se trata de la primera vez que vemos los 10 GB en Android, y todo parece indicar que dentro de unos años esta cifra será el nuevo estándar en la gama alta. A priori, pudiera parecer una cifra desmesurada, pero recordemos que hace 4 años estábamos utilizando terminales con 1 y 2 GB de RAM, y pensábamos que funcionaban bien.
La RAM nos permite ejecutar varios procesos en segundo plano sin que el procesador sufra tanta carga de trabajo, hace de nuestra experiencia de usuario algo más fluido, ayuda a mover juegos con mayor soltura y sobre todo, permite que el terminal envejezca mejor. Este, es el motivo por el que terminales como los OnePlus sigan rindiendo como el primer día a pesar del paso de los años, y es que contar con grandes cantidades de RAM nos asegura que el terminal será capaz de soportar los distintos cambios de versión que vayan llegando.
Con el Oppo Find X se abre la veda a esta nueva cantidad, aunque de momento, los 6 y 8 GB de RAM se antojan suficientes y no parece que vayan a ser desplazados a corto plazo. Sin embargo, al ritmo que avanza la tecnología, dentro de no muchos años los 10 GB de RAM serán todo un estándar.
