POCOPHONE es una sub marca de Xiaomi que desde su mismo lanzamiento, con el POCOPHONE F1 (también conocido como Poco F1) se volvió extremadamente popular entre el público. Manu Kumar Jain, el jefe de Xiaomi India, habría adelantado involuntariamente cuándo llegará el tan esperado Poco F2. El ejecutivo de Xiaomi compartió una foto de él y el líder del equipo de Redmi Business, Sneha Tainwala, discutiendo sobre algunos asuntos. Sin embargo, lo verdaderamente importante sobre esta foto es que en esta se encontraría una pista de la fecha de llegada del POCO F2.
