Pero poco más que eso, si alguna vez habéis probado grabar vídeos en un entorno completamente oscuro os habréis dado cuenta de que no se ve absolutamente nada, lógicamente. Pero las cámaras infrarrojas, aunque sea en tonos monocromo, sí nos permite ver en las más absoluta oscuridad, y eso es lo que puedes hacer con esta app de cámara del Xiaomi Mi 8 y del Pocophone F1.
El hardware del Xioami Mi 8 y del Pocophone F1 permiten hacer grabación infrarroja, gracias a sus cámaras secundarias que se utilizan habitualmente para identificar nuestro rostro, incluso en un entorno sin luz alguna. Como os podéis imaginar, para utilizar esta app de cámara infrarroja es necesario rootear el Xiaomi Mi 8 o el Pocophone F1. Una vez conseguido vamos a poder hacer fotos y grabar vídeos tan interesantes como los del vídeo de demostración que os adjuntamos. Como podéis apreciar, el efecto infrarrojo es perfecto, no se trata de ningún filtro añadido a la cámara del Xiaomi Mi 8, sino que es el propio hardware el que puede grabar de esta forma, pero el fabricante limita su uso.
Algo a tener en cuenta para que funcione esta app de cámara del Xiaomi Mi 8, es que no funciona en ROMs basadas en MIUI, por lo que tendremos que contar con alguna alternativa cono Lineage OS 16. Por alguna razón, Xiaomi bloquea este tipo de apps que utilizan la cámara infrarroja. Como se ve en el vídeo, la grabación infrarroja lógicamente no alcanza el nivel de detalle de una grabación de vídeo a plena luz del día, pero es más que suficiente para grabar y ver lo que nos rodea cuando es imposible ver nada a nuestro alrededor. Algo que puede ser una simple anécdota, o convertirse en verdadera utilidad en algunas situaciones.
