Una de las últimas noticias de Sony en el panorama móvil hablaba sobre la disponibilidad del Sony Xperia 5. Hoy este dispositivo no es noticia, pero sí un compañero que acaba de ser presentado de forma oficial. Se trata del Sony Xperia 8, un móvil de gama media que la compañía ha colocado justo por debajo de los Xperia 10 que vimos en el MWC de Barcelona a principios de año. El móvil ha sido lanzado de forma oficial y ya os podemos contar todo lo relacionado con su diseño y características. También sobre el precio, aunque las cifras todavía están en moneda local. En este caso, yenes japoneses.
Características y diseño del Sony Xperia 8
El nuevo Sony Xperia 8 llega solo, sin un hermano mayor como en el caso de los Xperia 10. Este dispositivo cuenta con un diseño sencillo a la vez que premium, siendo su cuerpo de metal y cristal. En la parte trasera solo encontramos una cámara doble con un diseño muy similar al que presentan los gama media de la compañía. El sensor de huellas está colocado en un lateral y hace las veces de botón de bloqueo/desbloqueo.
Una de las partes más interesantes está en la zona delantera. El terminal presenta una pantalla 21:9 que no es nada común y que destaca frente a cualquier otro móvil. Los biseles están bien aprovechados en los laterales y en la zona inferior, pero no en la parte superior. Aquí encontramos un gran bisel que aloja sensores, la cámara delantera y el auricular de las llamadas. Eso sí, creemos que podría estar mejor optimizado y ser tener la mitad de espacio.

El terminal llega con un diseño interesante y una lista de características algo desactualizada. El primer detalle que no nos gusta es el procesador. Se trata de un SD 630, un chip con bastante tiempo en el mercado que ha visto mejoras muy sustanciales en generaciones posteriores. Tampoco es una gran noticia la cantidad de batería o el sistema operativo con el que llegará.
Su cámara doble puede grabar en 4K y el segundo sensor admite un zoom óptico de dos aumentos. Admite tarjetas microSD para mejorar el almacenamiento, tiene NFC y también Bluetooth 5.0.
Precio y disponibilidad del Sony Xperia 8
Este dispositivo acaba de ser presentado en Japón. Está justo por debajo de opciones como los Xperia 10 y desconocemos si acabará saliendo del país en un futuro. No es un terminal demasiado atractivo, sobre todo cuando echamos un vistazo al precio que presenta en su país natal: 460 euros (500 dólares) al cambio.
