Si tienes otro smartphone lo más seguro es que lo encuentres en Ajustes/Configuración > Seguridad > Bloque de pantalla.
2. Tiempo de espera
Además de ahorrar energía, la opción de Tiempo de espera de la pantalla en Android nos brinda seguridad. Activa la función desde los Ajustes de Pantalla y coloca el tiempo de inactividad o suspensión (de un minuto a 10 minutos) para que se apague y bloquee el teléfono.
También está la opción de Bloquear automáticamente, en algunos celulares se encuentra en Configuración > Seguridad > Bloquear automáticamente.
3. Aplicaciones oficiales
Siempre instala las aplicaciones desde la Google Play, sabemos que a veces no hay efectivo para comprar todas las apps importantes pero hay veces que se ponen en descuento y podrás comprarlas a un buen precio.
Samsung, LG y otros fabricantes cuentan con sus propias tiendas donde encuentra apps a buen precio o gratuitas.
El instalar archivos apk en tu celular puede resultar en malware que puede robar tu información y compartirla con otras personas. Sí, instalas un apk asegúrate que sea del desarrollador, por ejemplo, WhatsApp permite instalar versiones beta de su aplicación y lo hace con estos archivos.
4. Respalda tu información.
Crea copias de seguridad cada determinado tiempo y sube tus fotografías a Google Photos –tienes 15GB o espacio ilimitado. Para hacer respaldos con los servicios que tengas instalado o los de Google puedes hacer lo siguiente:
Ve a Ajustes, luego busca la opción de Cuentas y escoge la aplicación que quieres sincronizar para tener un respaldo en la nube.
Cabe mencionar que la gran mayoría de las empresas cuentan con servicios de backup y te facilitan el trabajo. En ellos puedes respaldar archivos, música, fotos, videos y más.
5. Que no se comparta mada
Aunque la Google Play Store es segura para comprar, muchas empresas tienen políticas de privacidad bastante engañosas, por lo que te recomendamos leerlas cuando instales sus aplicaciones.
Suena aburrido pero en ciertos casos permites que puedan saber en qué momento realizas una llamada, acceder a tus fotos y más.
Algunos smartphones tienen la opción de modificar los permisos de aplicaciones, se encuentra en Configuración > Control de permisos.
